I wrote Talking the Lead to address an issue I experienced out in the working world. The issue is a lack of leadership training provided to young supervisors and managers.
Too many employees are being promoted to manager, supervisor, shift leader, etc., and not being taught leadership skills.
It is a serious detriment not only to the newly promoted supervisor, but to the company, and more importantly, to the customers of the company.
